The “Rick and Morty” Season 3 release date is a highly anticipated event by fans of the Adult Swim animated series. Considering the long wait thus far, it is understandable that fans are almost desperate and prone to accept as fact whatever speculation that comes along.

For instance, there were recent talks that the reason for the delayed “Rick and Morty” Season 3 release date are the two co-creators of the series. According to the discussions on the net, the two co-creators of the series Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland are arguing over which direction season three should be heading, which caused the delay, reports Independent.

The speculations were based on Harmon’s response to an audience query during the Sundance Film Festival. “[Me and co-creator Justin Roiland] have fights all the time and then we have fights about why we’re having fights,” Harmon explained. He later added that they didn’t fight in the previous season and that “All this fighting” is probably the reason why the season 3 took so long to be released.

However, in a recent series of Twitter posts, Harmon explained that no, the “fighting” he mentioned between him and his co-creator Justin Roiland is not the cause of the delay of “Rick and Morty” Season 3 release. In fact, there is actually no fighting at all.

Dan Harmon went on to clarify that the “fights” are not actually fights but more on discussions on what jokes to do next, as detailed in a Polygon report. Harmon added that “We respect and terrify each other and always want the other to be happy.”

But there is one thing that Harmon’s posts revealed about the “Rick and Morty” Season 3 release date status. He urged people not to harass that artists, editors and writers who did their work months ago, nudging angry fans to harass the network bosses instead.

Apparently, it is no longer under Harmon or Roiland’s jurisdiction when it comes to scheduling the “Rick and Morty” Season 3 release date. As Harmon explains it, it is Adult Swim’s call and they are not allowed to release any information on the matter.

So there you have it folks. At least it is now known that “Rick and Morty” Season 3 is already ready for release. Hang tight; it’s only a matter of time.
